Crafted from lightweight cotton cambric, this plum shirt features a boxy cropped silhouette and engraved metal buttons, each hand-sewn with a thread shank for a subtle, considered finish.
Made with using 100% natural dyes.
Plum is dyed with natural indigo/madder pigments through hand-tied shibori resist. The undyed white sections may pick up colour if washed with other garments, worn against light fabrics, or exposed to sweat and rain — this is a known trait of natural dye, not a manufacturing fault.
Wash Plum completely alone, always, including away from your other Daro pieces.
Do not soak.
Do not wring.
Do not tumble dry.
Some bleeding may still occur even with correct care — this is part of buying a naturally dyed, hand-finished garment, not a defect we can fully eliminate.
Cold hand wash separately.
Each shirt begins as undyed cotton cambric, hand-tied using the shibori resist method before a single stitch is cut — fabric pinched, folded, and bound by thread, so dye can't fully reach the bound sections. This is what creates the pattern; no two ties are identical, so no two shirts are either.
